# Hwang Hee-chan, who has been a substitute for two games in a row, is interested in Wolfsburg

"Wolfsburg of the German Bundesliga are interested in signing Hwang Hee-chan," British media outlet Sky Sports reported on Jan. 21 (KST).

After joining Wolverhampton on loan from Leipzig in 2021, Hwang has since struggled to find his feet due to a series of injuries and managerial changes.

Last season, he gained more playing time under Julen Lopetegui, [온라인섯다 ](https://ptitjardin.ouvaton.org/?gostopsite10)but his position changed when Lopetegui abruptly left before the start of this season.

New manager Gary O'Neill left Hwang out of the starting lineup for the first two games of the EPL and used him as a substitute.

Hwang had a couple of threatening shots on goal in the opening match against Manchester United, and scored a late winner in the second leg against Brighton.

With Wolfsburg showing interest, there is now speculation that he could leave the club in the European soccer summer transfer window that ends later this month.
